Privacy Policy – Daily Focus: Pomodoro Timer

This privacy policy explains how Yasantha Hettiarachchi IT Consultancy Service ("we", "us"), owned by Yasantha Hettiarachchi, handles information in the Android app Daily Focus: Pomodoro Timer (package name com.myday.dailyfocus), referred to below as "the app".

Summary

• The app does not require an account, and we do not run a server.
• Your tasks, settings and timer history are stored only on your device. We cannot see them.
• The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google's advertising software in the app collects some device and usage data, described below.
• We do not sell personal information.

Information stored on your device

The app saves your tasks, your preferences (such as focus and break lengths and language), and a record of your completed sessions, streaks and achievements. This information is stored locally on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot access it.

You can delete this information at any time from inside the app, by clearing the app's data in your device settings, or by uninstalling the app.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app is free and shows banner and full-screen ads provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure how they perform and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app automatically collects and sends the following to Google:

• Device identifiers, such as your device's advertising ID and app set ID
• Approximate location, estimated from your device's IP address
• App interactions, such as app launches and taps on ads
• Diagnostic information, such as app performance data

This data is encrypted in transit and is used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. It is collected and processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. You can read more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not receive this data in a form that identifies you.

Your choices about ads

• You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (on most devices: Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads).
• You can manage ad personalisation for your Google account at adssettings.google.com.
• Uninstalling the app stops all collection by the app.

Permissions

• Internet access, so ads can be loaded and shown.
• Notifications, to show the running timer and tell you when a focus session or break has ended. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, and the app still works.
• Vibration and foreground service, to alert you when a session ends and keep the timer accurate while the app is in the background.

Google Play

The app is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect information when you download or update the app, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive personal information about you from Google Play.

Contacting us

If you email us, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to reply to you, and we do not share it with anyone else. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
